Focusing primarily on his Living Structures, DIY modular living units that uni\ufb01ed the multiple functions of furniture and home, Snodgrass will discuss Isaacs\u2019 concept of the Matrix, the foundation behind all of the architect\u2019s designs (including his Microhouses and Knowledge Box) that sought radical solutions to the spatial and environmental challenges of modern life.<\/p>\n<p>Susan Snodgrass is a Chicago-based critic and editor of ARTMargins Online. Her current curatorial projects focus on the architecture of Ken Isaacs, and have been included in the exhibitions \u201cLearning Modern,\u201d at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago\u2019s Sullivan Galleries (2009-10), and \u201cHippie Modernism: The Struggle for Utopia,\u201d organized by the Walker Art Center (2015).
